Profile: Lanna Nakone Actress Turned Organizeer
10/02/2002 - The willowy blonde winner of 350 batton twirling trophies, Lanna Nakone (now a Rutherford-based professional organizer) was momentarily relaxed at a Toronto bar when the business-like looking gentleman who had been eyeing her suddently told her, "I want to feature you in a tourism commercial for Ontario and make tourism boom here in the 90s."
She took him up on the offer, and although she had been accepted in a PhD program at Montreal's McGill University, she had so much fun from the commercial that she decided on an acting career instead, not realizing it was just another step on the way to her real career.
